From our luxury villa in Andalucia you can enjoy activities for all ages and all seasons of the year. We have a house book containing a host of leaflets and suggestions including:
- Whale watching in the Gibraltar Straits – you will certainly see dolphins too – and you can also go tuna/deep sea fishing from Estepona
- Wonderful historic sites – ranging from the world renowned cities of Seville, Granada and Cordoba to the roman baths in Casares, the incredible preserved Roman city at Baelo Claudia near Tarifa, old Ronda (only 25 miles away), the Picasso Museum in Malaga housed in an ancient villa with foundations and remnants of a Phoenician civilization 2000 years ago!
- Wind surfing in Tarifa (the wind surfing capital of Europe),
- Wine tasting in Arcos de la Frontera and the sherry bodegas of Jerez
- Fabulous dining in a host of international and Spanish restaurants within 20 minutes’ drive
- Canyoning and caving (spelunking) in the Genal Valley and Serania de Ronda
- Climbing (it’s limestone – so be careful)
- Walking - ranging from a wonderful, gentle 2km walk round our land watching the wonderful bird life, spotting rare orchids seeing the ibex, wild boar, roe deer and salamanders that we have seen on our gentle evening strolls, to more strenuous walks up the Crestellina mountain and 101 other walks, some with wonderful Spanish restaurants on the way! We have walking maps and we can put you in touch with ornithologists and guides who can take you on individual guided walks and photographic expeditions.
- Golf – within twenty minutes’ drive from our house you can be playing golf in some of Europe’s top golf spots – Valderama, Sotogrande, San Roque – and if you can’t afford the (rather substantial!) green fees for these there are another 40 golf courses within 40 minutes (mainly within 20 minutes) to test your prowess.
- Painting/photography – Gaucin is a real centre of art, with many artists (some famous) based there and Genalguacil ( a white village you can see from our pool to the east of us) has street art and a wonderful art gallery – we can organize art classes if you would like to experiment plus wild life photography excursions.
- For small children there are zoos, water parks, aquariums, donkey sanctuaries – and Gibraltar with the apes guarding the Rock and the military museum in the caves. The Mediterranean beaches have wonderful facilities for small children – whilst parents enjoy a meal in the shade of a beach bar
